  • Don’t Miss the Battle of Byron Festival on May 6!

The Battle of Byron is back for the first time since 2017! The annual festival will be held on Saturday, May 6th in the historic downtown district of Byron, and admission is free. It of course features live music and vendors, but what sets the Battle of Byron apart are the quirky and numerous “challenges” – check out the schedule below for a taste!

Just look at all the fun/weird stuff to do! The address for the general area of the festival is:
    100 W Heritage St, Byron, GA 31008

The Battle of Byron festival started in 1979 as part of a community improvement project initiated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and Gov. George Busbee. Since then, it has become a beloved tradition in the Peach County area, and a major fundraiser for civic and church groups. It has been on hiatus since 2017, but hopefully will take on new life in 2023 and beyond!

The festival features all kinds of challenges to participate in if you’re so inclined, such as the Trike Race, the Fanny Race, the Bed Chase, the Greased Flagpole, the Auburn Tigers vs. the UGA Dawgs Tug-of-War, Mud Volleyball, and a Pie Eating Challenge. There’s also a classic car show that runs all day.

The Battle of Byron is a great way to spend a day with your family and friends, meet new people, and have a blast competing in random events. More info can be found at their website: Festival In Byron | Battle Of Byron.
